“Nintendo Switch 2” allegedly being announced tomorrow – InkSplat News

The successor to the Nintendo Switch console, rumoured (and at this point, confirmed) to be called the “Nintendo Switch 2” has had a wild ride this year, from being leaked by a factory worker through a Reddit “ask me anything” session to being unofficially shown off by an accessories manufacturer at CES this year, to the point that everyone and their mum knows what the Switch 2 looks like and how it works, even before Nintendo has officially revealed it. Now, multiple reliable sources have officially revealed what they believe to be the announcement date of the Nintendo Switch successor.

It all started when the podcaster “Nate the Hate,” who has been reliable in the past, stated that he knew that the Switch’s successor will be announced on January 16, 2025.

Nate has said that there might be games running on a TV, but software will not be the focus of the official trailer.

Games journalist Tom Warren (who works for The Verge) has since confirmed this date.

We’ll keep you updated as the Switch 2 announcement date rolls along.

Update: The Switch 2 has been revealed.
